The Parsonage

The Parsonage is a splendid relic of a quasi-colonial past, when the British set the tone of development for the whole of the islands, with the growth of the convalescent industry. In those days, the shops, hotels and banks would use English as a matter of course.

The house was, of course, a "gentry"residence, designed to be run with a bevy of indoor servants and, sadly, there are few who can afford that kind of expenditure these days. The building has had its up's and down´s, but at present it has been separated in that the first floor is a spacious flat for the Chaplain, with three bedrooms. Downstairs are a series of parish meeting and utility rooms.
